What do all those Words Mean?
Vape: a device for vapourising an e-liquid. Also known as E-cig, electronic cigarette, personal vapouriser (PV), kit, set.
Coil: The part inside the atomiser that heats up. This will need to be replaced on a regular basis.
Drip Tip: Removable mouth piece.
e-juice: The liquid used in a vape to produce the vapour and nicotine hit. Contains vegetable glycerine (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavours and usually nicotine. Also known as E-liquid, e-juice, nic liquid, nic juice.
AIO: All-in-one. The tank and the battery are one piece. The coil is removed and replaced separately.
eGo: A pen style vaping device.
Juice: The liquid used in a vape to produce the vapour and nicotine hit. Contains vegetable glycerine (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavours and usually nicotine. Also known as E-liquid, e-juice, nic liquid, nic juice.
Head/Replacement Coil: replacement part that houses the atomiser coil in an atomiser tank
Mod: Usually refers to the box that contains the battery and electronics. An atomiser tank containing a coil is attached to it.
E-liquid: The liquid used in a vape to produce the vapour and nicotine hit. Contains vegetable glycerine (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavours and usually nicotine. Also known as juice, e-juice, nic liquid, nic juice.
mg: milligram (in this case refers to the amount of nicotine per milliliter of e-liquid and equates approx to percentage ie 16mg is approx equal to 1.6% nicotine)
PG/VG: the proportion of propylene glycol to vegetable glycerine in the e-liquid. Higher ratios eg 80%/20% produce more vapour, while a 50%/50% ratio carries the flavour better and is suitable for regular vaping.
PG: propylene glycol. Thin, clear and tasteless, and provides the throat hit.
VG: vegetable glycerine. Thicker, and has a naturally sweet taste that can blend into the flavour of the e-liquid. Has less throat hit, is responsible for the vapour (cloudz) production
Chest/Lung Hit: Feeling in your chest of vapour filling it up (varies based on liquid content)
Throat Hit (TH): Feeling in your throat caused by vapour being inhaled (varies with nicotine level, atomizer type and liquid content/flavor)
Vaping: Inhaling vapourised liquid containing flavours and usually nicotine, using a electronic device.
Vaper: A person that engages in vaping.
